Terms and Conditions

Our desire is for everyone to fully enjoy their time hiking and painting in the mountains. As this is a collective experience, have a few rules to ensure that everyone feels safe and respected during our outings. David is a qualified mountain first aid practitioner as well as any other staff who accompany us on the hikes.

Disclaimer

All forms of outdoor recreation have a higher level of risk than most ordinary activities, and therefore can be potentially hazardous and/or dangerous. This includes hiking and trekking. Risk is always a factor in hiking and trekking, especially when weather is adverse or unpredictable, or when unforeseen events or conditions create a hazardous condition. 

I understand that during the hikes in which I participate certain risks and dangers may arise including but not limited to hiking or traveling in remote areas, animals, forces of nature, accident  and illness.

All persons who participate in any hike or other activity with NatureScapes accept responsibility for making their own determinations as to the suitability of the activity and for their own safety, conduct and well-being and agrees to participate solely at their own risk.

In consideration of the right to participate in any hikes or other activities with NatureScapes, I assume the risk associated with these activities and will hold NatureScapes, its officers and hike leaders harmless from and defend them against any and all liability, actions, suits, claims and demands which could arise from any of the activities and from any loss or injury which I may sustain as a result of my participation in any of these activities.

By accepting this terms and conditions I agree to all aspects of this disclaimer and agree to abide by any and all NatureScapes rules.

Painting Equipment Deposit

We want you to enjoy your painting adventure with us so we have done our research and have found some of the best plein air painting equipment we could find. This equipment is not cheap and in the event of damage, we need to make sure we can replace it. So a flat deposit fee of 100 USD is required before the hike and fully refunded after the material is returned in satisfactory condition.

Payment

We value your business and want you to have the best time possible. To make that happen, we require the payment of a non-refundable registration fee to lock in your trip with us. Full payment is required 48 hours before the hike and full payment (minus the non-refundable registration fee) will be returned 48 hours before the hike start in the event of a cancellation.

Safety

Ensuring the safety of all participants is our top priority and we take it very seriously. We want you to feel comfortable and at ease, so we ask that everyone be treated with respect and dignity. Should any participant exhibit behaviour that is not consistent with our values and create a threat or danger to others or themselves, that person will be asked to leave and/or be escorted safely. In such a case their will be no refund for the offending person. We really hope it doesn’t come to this!
