Wandering in Nature

Hiking Wild
All our Hiking Wild hikes are based on the difficulty level of the hike itself and not the level of painting experience. Access to these hikes will be made as easy as possible however certain destinations may require a vehicle.
All our hikes are based on the difficulty level of the hike itself and not the level of painting experience. We have specially developed the Colour Training courses to prepare you for the hikes so it will maximise your enjoyment time in the mountains. It is highly recommended if you have no prior experience or are rusty and need a refresher as it will prepare you for what to expect once you are out and about.
Colour Training
CT 1 - This is an introductory course to colour theory with practical application. We will focus on understanding how colours work together, creating secondary colours from primary colours, tertiary colour schemes, analogous colours, complimentary colours, blending techniques, what are the basic materials used in painting, and basic safety precautions.
CT 2 - This course builds on your knowledge from CT 1. We will be focusing on how to create compositions, understanding the importance of atmospheric perspective in landscape painting, how to reproduce the exact colour from nature through observation, how to block in colours that represent the main shapes, build up the painting into a cohesive whole, and put on the final touches.
